How ARitize Holograms App Makes Hologram Creation More Accessible

Share

Creating holograms used to entail complicated processes that involved expensive tech and green screens. Today, that’s no longer the case. With the rapid evolution of modern technology, it’s now possible for us to create our very own holograms using smartphones.

Nextech AR Solutions Corp. (OTCQB: NEXCF) has launched the beta version of the ARitize Holograms app on the Apple App Store. The AI-powered app enables users to create, share, and view 3D holograms using only their smartphones—no need for green screens or expensive technical equipment.

The app is the first of its kind on the market, according to the company, and will be integrated with Nextech’s Metaverse Studio and ARitize Maps in the second quarter of 2022. This will enable users to view the holograms in the metaverse, while allowing them to spatially map their own metaverse and add holograms to it.

“It’s an exciting time for Nextech as we continue to release new AR technology further pushing the boundary of what’s possible,” said Evan Gappelberg, CEO of Nextech AR, in a press release. “With this release, we are continuing to execute on our vision to ‘ARitize’ the world. We can ARitize people (through human holograms), places (through spatial mapping), and things (through 3D models).”

Creating Your Own 3D Hologram

With just a few taps, you can create your own human hologram and share it with the world through social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

With the ARitize Holograms app, you only need to capture a video, submit it for processing, and edit it according to your preferences. Then, you can share it with your contacts through social media or using a QR code.

To create a hologram, you first need to download the app from the App Store and start viewing holograms on the app’s explore page. Then:

  • Go to your profile and tap the “Create Hologram” button;
  • Make sure that your phone is placed on a tripod and is upright;
  • Follow the directions on the screen;
  • Start recording.

After recording, you can edit or trim your video before sending it for processing. Once processed, find it on your profile. You can add details, such as a title and a description, before publishing your hologram.

The app also makes it easier for users to view their holograms anytime, anywhere. To view a hologram:

  • Open the app;
  • Select the hologram you want to view;
  • Scan your surroundings using your phone’s front-facing camera;
  • Follow the directions on your screen to view the hologram;
  • Tap the button to take a photo. Alternatively, you can press and hold the button to record a video.

ARitize Holograms leverages proprietary machine learning technology that processes the videos captured by users and turns them into 3D human holograms.

Everyday Applications of Human Holograms

Human holograms are posed to play a major role in the digital economy. Holograms created using the app can be used for a variety of applications, such as product demonstrations, AR fitness and training programs, educational tutorials, and music and performances.

There are countless use cases for 3D holograms for individuals and brands. Aside from tutorials, they can be utilized in museums to bolster educational tours. Moreover, human holograms are creating opportunities for the advancement of the digital ecosystem. This technology enables users to have new ways of interacting not only with each other, but also with an increasingly digital world.

Nextech AR is also offering the app as a software development kit (SDK), which will enable other applications to license the technology.
